Vihtavuori’s Chad Heckler wins Tactical Division at 2026 Twisted Barrel Scorcher IV

Congratulations to Team Vihtavuori’s Chad Heckler on capturing the Tactical Division title at the 2026 Twisted Barrel Precision Scorcher IV, a Precision Rifle Series (PRS) Pro Series event.

Competing with Berger 30 Caliber 168 Grain Hybrid Target bullets, Vihtavuori N150 powder and Lapua 308 Winchester Palma brass, Heckler delivered a standout performance, posting a score of 169 of 190 points.

The 2026 Twisted Barrel Scorcher IV was held July 11–12 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and challenged competitors with 19 stages featuring a variety of positional and prone shooting scenarios over two days of competition. Twisted Barrel Precision will also host the 2026 PRS Finale this November, making the match an important stop during the season-long championship race.

Reflecting on his victory, Heckler said, “This makes 3-for-3 Tactical Division wins this season and one of the coolest trophies I have earned yet!”

Heckler was joined on the podium by Jaco Van Aswegen, who finished second with a score of 159, and Mathew Shear, who secured third place with a score of 131.

With the victory, Heckler continues his impressive 2026 campaign and currently sits second overall in the PRS Pro Series Tactical Division standings.
