Vihtavuori’s Doug Koenig Wins Accuracy International Classic

Congratulations to Vihtavuori team member Doug Koenig on winning the 2023 Accuracy International Long Range Classic.

The 2023 Accuracy International Long Range Classic was held March 10th-12th at the ALTUS Shooting Solutions in Backer, FL.  The 8^th annual two-day match had shooters competing in over 16 different stages with some of the favorites including Cold Bore, Traditional Positions and Unknown Distances.

Despite some crazy weather, Doug scored an impressive 161 with 87.67 time beating out over 70 other competitors. Second place went to Greg Holloway and third to John Roberts.

Doug scored a perfect score on multiple stages, including:

Stage 1 ( On the Rocks)
Stage 3 (Pipes Mover)
Stage 7 (Hoodlums)
Stage 15 (Truing Tires)
Stage 17 (Bus-ted Tower)

After his first place finish, Doug commented, “In order to perform at a high level, all of your components and gear have to be consistent all the time in all types of temperatures, that is why I use Vihtavuori powders.”
