Team Vihtavuori’s Chad Heckler Wins IPRF World Championship
22.10.2024Congratulations to Team Vihtavuori’s Chad Heckler on winning the International Precision Rifle Federation (IPRF) World Championship in the Limited Division. Heckler represented the United States Precision Rifle Association Centerfire Team for the victory.
Limited Division requires all shooters to compete with 308 Winchester commercial ammunition. Heckler won competing with Lapua 308 Winchester 175 Grain Scenar-L ammunition, which is factory-assembled with Vihtavuori propellants.
Leading up to the IPRF World Championship, Heckler diligently trained and won using Lapua 308 ammo, including a win at the Michigan Precision Rifle Challenge
series against competitors handloading their preferred cartridges. An unprecedented result with the sophistication of handloads assembled by today’s long-range PRS competitor.
Heckler shared, “I entered the World Championship with the highest level of confidence knowing my ammunition was factory-loaded with Vihtavuori propellants. Throughout my practice and matches leading up to the Worlds, Vihtavuori offered unmatched precision, temperature stability, and produced consistent results from multiple lots of ammunition. That confidence in Vihtavuori carried me to victory.”
The IPRF World Championship was held at the prestigious Cameo Shooting and Education Complex in Grand Junction, CO, September 11 – 17th. Top competitors from 23 participating countries competed in Open, Limited, and Factory divisions for Ladies, Junior, Senior, and Mil/LE classes.
